Black Theatre Troupe – Warehouse Renovations

Since 1970, The Black Theatre Troupe has promoted excellence in the performing arts with an emphasis on people of color. From its proud but humble beginnings as a grassroots, creative outlet for restless, talented youth in the 70’s, the Black Theatre Troupe is now a highly recognized theatre producing quality plays which reflect the heart and soul of the African-American experience.Convergent Technologies, Inc (CTDG) was requested by Bosak Architectural Companies LLC (Bosak) to conduct a design review analysis with respect to Audiovisual systems and Acoustics for the Black Troupe Theatre warehouse renovation located in Phoenix, Arizona. The scope of services for this project included reviewing existing programmatic requirements and Black Theatre Troupe standards for the acoustics and audiovisual systems in the Blackbox Theatre, and reviewing drawings and specifications prepared by Bosak and providing a memo of recommendations relating to the acoustics and audiovisual systems in the Blackbox theatre.
