Education Affiliates (EA) is a private equity sponsored company headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland and operating a total of 51 schools nationwide. Education Affiliates offers post-secondary education and professional qualifications and certifications in a variety of technical fields requiring skilled professionals. These include Commercial Driving; Allied Health; Pharmacy; Medical Assistant; Dental Assistant; Medical Office Administrator/Specialist; Medical Coding/Billing; Massage Therapy; Pharmacy Technician; Nursing; Aesthetics Skincare; Cosmetology; Information Technology & Biomedical Technician; Medical Laboratory Technology; Radiologic Technology; Sterile Processing Technician; Computers; Computer Applications; Paralegal; Welding; Health Information Technician; Paramedic; and HVAC. In response to an increase in student enrollment and the demand for resources EA has embarked on an ambitious program to renovate existing and/or build new facilities at its various locations across the country. Convergent Technologies has been asked to provide audiovisual presentation systems for classrooms, audiovisual systems for simulation suites, telecommunications cabling systems with associated supporting infrastructure and video surveillance security systems with associated supporting infrastructure for various projects across the country as needed. The scope and program for each project varies but the general spaces to receive educational technology systems include classrooms, conference rooms, laboratory spaces and specialized simulation suites. CTDG was also tasked with creating the Technology Systems Program in order standardize the design and installation of building infrastructure, low voltage communications and educational technology systems for all current and future construction projects. Project responsibilities include producing construction documents and assisting in the procurement of installation contractors. We are currently participating in 23 design projects for Education Affiliates across the country.
