Kuwait University – Eight Buildings

Located 20km west of Kuwait City, three campuses combined in the design and construction phases will span 4.9 million square feet and house 40,000 students. Convergent Technologies Design Group (CTDG) provided design services for three colleges, a satellite mosque, and a faculty club that span eight buildings within one campus of the city. The scope of work included design services for telecommunications cabling systems with infrastructure, audiovisual systems with infrastructure, paging/public address systems, clock and intercom systems, access control/video surveillance systems, LAN/PBX/WiFi electronics, and acoustics, noise & vibration control. The scope additionally included deliverables for a design phase consisting of drawings, specifications, and cost estimation. Kuwait University was founded in 1966 and currently has four campuses with colleges in the sciences, medical, educational, business, arts, engineering, and law faculties.
