Maricopa County Community College District – District Office Hearing Room

The scope of this project included complete design services for acoustics and audiovisual systems, design and construction details for noise and vibration control for the rooms’ HVAC system, as well as consulting services as it related to existing room (AV & mechanical) systems. In addition, CTDG was asked to offer recommendations for: improving overall audiovisual system performance, increased ease in operation, enhancements to existing audiovisual systems, decreased ambient room sound levels (HVAC), and training of users on reviewing engineering documentation and overall system operations/ control in the MCCD Services Center Main Boardroom. Additional project responsibilities included the review of building criteria as they applied to acoustics, noise and vibration control for all acoustically sensitive spaces and mechanical systems. Project highlights included preparing a source code program for control with personal computer based interface utilizing drop and drag icon options for the Peavey Media Matrix audio processing/ control system. Project challenges included conducting an operator training seminar on system/ room operations. This project has been successfully completed since July 2002.
