City of Baltimore Public School System – Multi-Image Video Wall

Working directly with the Baltimore City School System, the scope of this project includes complete design services for audiovisual systems for the school police dispatch office. Specified systems include a command center video wall, remote location camera access, streaming video recording and viewing hardware, multiple computer screen access with custom control and configuration, and real-time preset recall of standard viewing and emergency incident dispatch. Responsibilities include specifications for all audiovisual equipment, project management inclusive of construction administration, training and testing, and detailing the demolition of existing systems. The Command Center features a multiple display video wall connected to security systems at each Baltimore City School enabling secure monitoring from a remote location. Additional project responsibilities include providing telecommunications connectivity between the renovated spaces and an existing server room. Project challenges include detailing the integration with existing systems and a fast-track design/deliverable schedule. This facility has been in use since early 2010.
