The United States Department of State, headquartered in the Harry S. Truman Building in Washington DC, is responsible for the nation’s international relations. The Department has recently dedicated space to house the Visitor Center and National Museum of American Diplomacy. Convergent Technologies’ scope of work for this project was to provide complete design services for telecommunications cabling systems with associated supporting infrastructure for voice/data/RF video outlets, audiovisual systems infrastructure for all spaces & exhibits, audiovisual systems electronics, and room acoustics, interior sound isolation, and HVAC noise control. Featured spaces include: two (2) classrooms, conference room, theater, education suite space, Diplomacy Center, Visitor’s Center, and exhibit areas. This project is currently in the Construction Documents phase and is expected to be complete in 2015.
