Federal Aviation Administration – Auditorium & Conference Rooms

The scope of this project includes audiovisual systems with associated infrastructure and room acoustical design services as they pertain to the renovations of an auditorium and various conference rooms in the Orville Wright Building. The Orville Wright Building is located at the national headquarters for the Federal Aviation Administration in Washington D.C. Space plans include: the McCracken Conference Room, two (2) sub-dividable conference rooms and a 150-seat, two-story auditorium. Design schedule includes involvement in design services, preparation of construction documents and bidding document review. Specified systems include: audiovisual presentation systems, program/speech audio reinforcement, surround sound audio and audio/video production, recording & editing. Design responsibilities include recommendations for room shaping and finishes, room acoustical & floor slab vibration properties, audiovisual system specification, and construction administration of audiovisual systems installation and acceptance. This project is currently in the construction and administration phase and is due to be completed in the fall of 2012.
