Frederick County Public Schools – West Frederick Middle School

The scope of work for the Frederick County Public Schools, West Frederick Middle School Renovation/Addition, consists of noise and vibration control design consulting through the review of the 50% construction documents package along with the octave band sound power levels for one chiller tower to be installed adjacent to an existing air cooled chiller. The facility’s seasonal shutdown of the existing cooling system posed a problem for onsite acoustical measurements to be gathered, but a direction for design was developed through the acquired data of the specified series of existing air cooled chiller, the noise ordinance information from the City of Frederick and the variety of noise control options available. Project responsibilities also include an outlined period for deliverables, with RFI responses and recommendations for suitable substitutions to specified solutions, as well as Fall construction administration services.
