Maricopa County Community College District: Mesa CC – Paul A. Elsner Library & High Technology Complex

The scope of this project included a $500,000.00 design to budget for audiovisual & multimedia systems to include: speech reinforcement, distance learning, audiovisual presentation and recording, along with custom classroom instructor’s stations and associated infrastructure. The types of spaces to receive audiovisual & multimedia systems included: multipurpose/computer classrooms, an academic computing department with over 100 computer workstations, conference rooms, group study collaboration areas, and third floor study spaces equipped with wireless access throughout. Project responsibilities included: complete specifications for all audiovisual & multimedia systems, and project management through bidding & negotiations concluding with construction administration project management through systems testing and acceptance. Responsibilities included details for connecting to existing campus utilities, as well as, outlining all infrastructure and associated floorbox, wallplate and conduit raceway systems. The project was a two-year, multi-phase design project. The project has been successfully complete since June 2003.
