Maricopa County Library District – White Tanks Branch Library

This design-build project for the Maricopa County Library District produces all required electricity on site. The scope of the project included interior room acoustics, interior sound isolation and HVAC noise and vibration control for the 29,000gsf facility west of Phoenix. Noise criterion levels were provided for the library room, activity room and the 4,500 square-foot nature center. The nature center features displays, exhibits, programs and a collection of indigenous plants. Additional spaces where acoustical criterion were addressed included the “Friends Place” used by volunteers, (4) public use quiet-study rooms, a story time room with seating for 137 children, a dedicated space for Teens (Teen Oasis), and an on-site coffee café. The White Tank Branch Library is a LEED registered project and opened in November 2010.
