Montgomery College – Bioscience Education Center

The Bioscience Education Center is part of a larger process to upgrade the Germantown campus of Montgomery College, in an effort to better meet the demands of thegrowing bioscience fields, and increase student capacity. Offering both degrees and certificates in Biotechnology and Life Science, the emphasis of the Biotechnology program is on applied laboratory skills relevant to the biotechnology industry. Introductory coursework in biotechnology, biology, chemistry and mathematics will be available in the new facility. For Convergent Technologies, the scope of this project includes telecommunications cabling systems with associated supporting infrastructure for voice/data/RF video outlets, and audiovisual systems infrastructure design services for additional classroom and laboratory space supporting students who wish to pursue bioscience courses (including biology, chemistry, biotechnology, etc). This project ensures that students have state-of-the-art facilities, housing new classrooms and laboratory spaces.
