North Branford Intermediate School – Interior Acoustical Consulting

Scope of this project included the complete renovation of the North Branford Intermediate School. Convergent Technologies provided interior room acoustics for the Choral and Band Rooms, sound isolation for the Tech Lab and mechanical systems noise control design services. The facility provides general studies for grades six through eight and encompasses staff offices, general classrooms, science labs, music rooms and a theatrical/performance area. The project requirements consisted of a review of the existing construction documents for an acoustical analysis of HVAC systems and design standards for room acoustics and sound isolation within the Choral and Band Rooms. The deliverable for this project was an interior acoustics and sound isolation report inclusive of acoustical design criteria and recommendations for the aforementioned spaces. The scope of this project was completed in the fall of 2007.
