Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community – Wellness & Fitness Center

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is a sovereign Native American tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix Area. The Community is comprised of two Native American tribes, the Pima Akimel O’ Odham (River People) and the Maricopa  Xalychidom Piipaash people who live toward the water. The scope for the Wellness Center & Fitness Facility includes the design of audiovisual systems with infrastructure, telecommunications cabling systems with infrastructure, access control/video surveillance systems and HVAC noise control. Areas to receive audiovisual systems include: Childcare, Aquatics, Gymnasium, Cardio, Personal Training, Multipurpose, Multipurpose Fitness, Teen Area, Kitchen/Classroom, Common Areas, and background music/audio paging systems throughout the facility. Three multipurpose rooms, personal training rooms and the conference room offer room scheduling displays. Spaces that include an internal CCTV monitoring system, allowing parents to monitor children while in day care include: lobby, hallway, kitchen, multi-purpose rooms, fitness areas and teen spaces. The scope of this project commenced at the Schematic Design phase and construction completion is schedule for 2011.
