University of MD System – “On Call” Consulting for Educational Technology Systems

The scope of this contract is a four-year term with anticipated design fees of $250,000.00 per year. Areas of design include educational technology systems (audiovisual systems, telecommunications cabling, and acoustics, noise & vibration control) across five of the University of Maryland System campuses. Convergent Technologies has been retained directly by the University of Maryland to participate in the role of technical, economical and project management advisor for the integration of educational technology systems in classrooms, labs, lecture halls, teaching theaters, conference rooms, stadiums, performing arts centers/theaters and other acoustically challenging spaces. Project responsibilities include conducting needs analysis, technical performance reviews, and pedagogical discussions with faculty and administrators on a variety of large scale and intimate sized technology integration projects. To date, no projects have been awarded with this vehicle, although the University conducted a multi-level progression RFP selection process verifying project references, team resumes and financial information about our firm.
