The California Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) teamed with the Sacramento Metro Fire Department (SMFD) to remodel the 2nd floor of the SMFD’s headquarters. The new exercise simulation center will simulate disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and wildfires. The simulation works in real time for various teams to respond providing better training to employees. The building is unique because it is shared by multiple government agencies to train for various emergency situations. The facility features multiple video walls and sub-dividable spaces that allow for both large and small group simulation experiences. Convergent Technologies Design Group provided complete audiovisual design services for this project. The project will be complete in 2014.
