Caroline County – Public Services Building Auditorium Renovation

The scope of this project included complete audiovisual systems design for a 400-seat auditorium. Systems that were specified for the auditorium included a combined program audio & mono speech system that compliments a high-light output projection system featuring LCD data/video. Primary system features included: ten (10) speech microphones to be used simultaneously in panel discussions and portable audio/video monitoring for stage presenters. The auditorium serves as a primary meeting space for public council meetings where both members of the common council on stage and audience members interact utilizing the room’s audiovisual systems. Project responsibilities included: complete specifications for all audiovisual/multimedia and RF video cabling systems, design of necessary infrastructure, calculation of power and heat load information for projection/control room, design of a custom presenter’s lectern, and project management through bidding & negotiations concluding with construction administration project management through systems testing and acceptance. Convergent Technologies became involved in the construction documents phase of the project. The project was a two-year, multi-phase design project. The project has been successfully completed since October
