Convergent Technologies Utilizes BIAMP Technology as an Advanced Audio Solution for NREL

The New Energy Systems Integration Facility at the US Department of Energy in Colorado is up and running! The building is not only a design masterpiece on the outside, but features state-of-the-art technology design throughout its various collaboration labs, control rooms, and visualization centers. The facility is among the most technologically advanced in the world. As audiovisual design consultants for the project, Convergent Technologies integrated the use of BIAMP Systems Technology to respond to the distinct needs of the building. The facility features a high performance data center (HPDC) consisting of a 200+ teraflop supercomputer, supported by an Insight Collaboration Room with a three-dimensional (3D) partial immersion cave. The HPDC also includes a visualization room with a videowall in the 24-32 mega pixel range. CERBS offers a rear projection cube 2×6 video wall Control Room and will simulate the typical large utility control systems, as well as integrate the display of real-time and faster than real-time data sets from any of the nine connected experimental bays.
