CUNY Brooklyn College – Ingersoll & Roosevelt Halls Science Complex Feasibility Studies

Convergent Technologies was asked to assess and make recommendations for improvements to the existing Roosevelt and Ingersoll Halls telecommunications infrastructure and audiovisual systems infrastructure to determine the feasibility of using the existing systems to accommodate the proposed Science Complex on the Brooklyn College campus. Additionally CTDG was asked to conduct an assessment of the existing classroom audiovisual presentation systems in Ingersoll Hall. Considerations for future proofing the building to accommodate for evolving technologies were taken into account during the assessment process. Scope of work included a review of existing college standards, an evaluation of the existing conditions and making recommendations to be considered when planning for the new Science Complex. Convergent Technologies met with key personnel on the Brooklyn College campus as well as key members of the design team to discuss standards and review the existing conditions. Deliverables associated with this project included feasibility reports and a narrative describing the basis of design for telecommunications cabling systems. This project has been successfully complete since 2007.
