J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College – Burnette Hall Renovation

The scope for the J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College included the renovation of existing classroom and faculty office space as well as providing new entries for the Burnette Hall academic building. Convergent Technologies was asked to design audiovisual presentation systems and recording, program/speech audio reinforcement, custom instructor’s stations, telecommunications cabling (voice, data, RF Video), as well as network, wireless, and telephony electronics. The main equipment room and all telecommunications rooms will be equipped with racks and necessary hardware for installing, routing and terminating the cables. These systems were incorporated to provide state-of-the-art classroom and laboratory spaces to meet the technology needs of current and future students. Other project responsibilities included room acoustics/systems noise and vibration control for all classroom spaces throughout the renovated facility and video surveillance/swipe card access.
