Longwood University – Stevens Hall

The scope of this project includes complete design services for telecommunications cabling systems with associated supporting infrastructure for voice, data, and RF Video, and audiovisual systems with associated supporting infrastructure. Scope of work also includes a feasibility/programming phase for audiovisual systems. Stevens Hall is home to the University’s Nursing program and the new Medical Training Laboratories. Building plans include nursing skills labs such as a fundamentals lab, a health assessment lab, patient exam rooms, a patient simulator lab, and a home care lab as well as student areas, classrooms, offices, seminar rooms and conference rooms. Specified systems include infrastructure for custom instructor’s stations, audio reinforcement systems, multimedia presentation systems, and local area networking. Project responsibilities include specifications for audiovisual simulation and recording systems.  Additional design responsibilities include the review of building criteria as they apply to acoustics, noise and vibration control, the development of acoustical criteria for HVAC equipment noise levels and sound isolation. This project was completed Fall of 2010.
