Penn State University – Student Health & Counseling Center
The scope of this project includes complete design services for telecommunications cabling systems (voice/data/RF video) with associated supporting infrastructure for the new Student Health & Counseling Center on Penn State’s University Park Campus. The new five story building includes a full-service pharmacy, health education resource library, clinical lab space, health offices, patient exam rooms, group therapy rooms, and conference rooms. Scope of services included telecommunications room sizing, power requirements, environmental requirements, heat load design criteria, telecommunications room lighting and finishes, and grounding and bonding for telecommunications equipment. Project responsibilities include: coordination with the design team for all telecommunications outlet placements, specifications for telecommunications cabling systems, and cost estimating and project management through bidding and construction administration. This project has been successfully complete since May 2008.
