Thomas Nelson Community College – New Historic Triangle Campus

The scope of this project included complete design services for audiovisual systems, telecommunications cabling systems, acoustics, noise and vibration control and PBX/WiFi/LAN electronics for the first building on Thomas Nelson Community College’s New Historic Triangle Campus. Space plans include a Dental Hygiene Clinic, Learning Resource Center, Media Lab, Student Services Center, Bookstore, Nursing Lab, Allied Health classrooms, science labs, general classrooms, common areas, computer laboratories and offices. Although the College has been conducting classes in the area for years, this building will be the College’s first of five facilities planned for the New Historic Triangle Campus. Specified systems include custom instructor’s stations, wireless access points, audiovisual presentation systems, videoconferencing capabilities and common area digital signage. Project responsibilities include the evaluation and recommendation of room shaping and finishes for all acoustically sensitive spaces in the building. This building has been successfully complete since April 2009. Classes on the new campus began for the Fall 2009 semester.
