University at Albany (SUNY) – Lecture Center

The Lecture Center B-03, located on the Podium in the Lecture Center Concourse of the University at Albany main campus, renovation plan consisted of converting an existing 50-year old tiered lecture hall to a smart, ADA compliant, three room lecture center inclusive of two 49-seat classrooms and one 64-seat classroom. Scope of work included the design of audiovisual systems with associated supporting infrastructure as they relate to the renovation project. The renovated facility will be used for lecture style instructional teaching and learning. Specified educational technology systems include audiovisual presentation and recording, speech reinforcement, custom smartinstructo’s lecterns, multimedia systems, and abilities to present video based or computer generated presentations via dual and single data/video projection systems. The lecture spaces were designed to create interconnectivity between one another via a master control allowing for a scalable level of room to room participation. Project responsibilities include design considerations for technology infrastructures to support future teaching equipment, methods and electronics. This project is currently under construction.
