The scope of this project includes a $300,000 design to budget for educational technology systems to include: audiovisual presentation and recording, distance learning, speech reinforcement, dual data/video projection systems, along with custom instructor’s stations and associated infrastructure. The types of spaces to receive educational technology systems include 80-seat classrooms, 56-seat classrooms, Executive Meeting Room (four-way subdividable), Conference Rooms, Seminar Rooms, and Lobby Presentation areas. Scope of design work includes the complete specifications and project management for all audiovisual and telecommunications cabling for voice, data and RF video signals into the new addition from existing distribution points. Other project responsibilities include room acoustics and mechanical systems noise and vibration control for all acoustically sensitive spaces. Project challenges include cohesively merging the existing campus standards utilized by the Smith School of Business with current available technologies. Other challenges include providing the infrastructure for the existing Master Control Room to be tied into the new classroom presentation systems in order to control and monitor presentations via one central location. The project has been successfully complete since January, 2008.
