University of MD, Shady Grove – Robert H. Smith School of Business

The renovation project for the Robert H. Smith School of Business on the University of Maryland Shady Grove campus was an opportunity for the school to evolve their audiovisual standards. To accomplish this, Convergent Technologies Design Group, Inc. (CTDG) assessed the existing systems, developed new programmatic requirements, and then advanced the school from an analog platform to the digital presentation domain. The audiovisual system design was complimented with associated infrastructure, heat and power load coordination. CTDG designed the telecommunications cabling systems with associated supporting infrastructure for voice/data/RF video outlets. The audiovisual and telecommunications systems were founded on existing programmatic requirements, UMSG standards the telecommunications cabling, as well as specialized grounding and bonding considerations. This project has been completed since Fall of 2011.
