Verizon Government Markets – Network Operations Center & Executive Briefing Room
The scope of this project includes a $250,000 design to budget for technology systems to include: multiple data/video projection systems with associated ancillary displays, audiovisual & multi-media enhanced presentations, videoconferencing, audio/video recording sessions, surround sound program & monaural speech audio reinforcement along with associated infrastructure. The types of spaces to receive audiovisual technology systems include: a Network Operations Center (NOC) and an Executive Briefing Center. Features of the NOC include: the ability to control and monitor the Verizon communications system utilizing a five-projector data/video fixed presentation wall along with ancillary plasma displays, combined monaural program/speech audio reinforcement, and central control stations featuring an IP addressable remote control system, digital annotation, as well as, audio/video preview. Executive Briefing Center is a technology rich conference room space with audio/ video tie lines for monitoring events in the network operations center in real time. Project scope included complete programming narrative system overview descriptions and detailed per space cost estimating for all technology systems. Design challenges included renovating an existing facility with state of the art NOC functionality and providing flexibility to grow and adapt to future governmental operational needs. The project has been successfully complete since June 2006.
