Convergent Technologies Design Group, Inc.
(CTDG) has been asked to provide audiovisual
system electronics with associated supporting
infrastructure design services for the
University of the District of Columbia (UDC)
Law Library to be located in Washington, DC.
The spaces to receive audiovisual systems will
include classrooms 334 and 335. The systems
contained within these spaces shall serve to
enhance instruction through facilitating
communication. The tiered classrooms will
function as presentation spaces in which
instruction will be enhanced by audiovisual
technology systems. Each room will feature a
large format, interactive flat panel display.
Wall-mounted loudspeakers will be provided
for program audio reinforcement. A custom
instructor’s station, located at the front of the
space, will include all AV equipment. A
wireless presentation gateway will provide
additional user connectivity. A ceilingmounted,
PTZ video camera will be included
for lecture capture via a Sonic Foundry
MediaSite Recorder. Audio will be recorded
via wireless lavalier microphones and wired,
ceiling-hung microphones. The presentation
system will be controlled by a touch panel
with a custom user interface.
