John Hopkins Hospital System Opens Howard County Hospital Addition

Convergent provided the John Hopkins Hospital System telecommunications cabling systems with associated supporting infrastructure for voice/data/RF video outlets, audiovisual system electronics with associated supporting infrastructure, access control/video surveillance systems, design services for the two story addition. The hospital was originally constructed in 1973, this $48 Million addition is the first major expansion to the original building. The goal was to increase space for the inpatient psychiatric unit and patient observation unit. The addition opened at the end of January 2020.
