Project Description

Convergent Technologies Design Group was asked provide audiovisual system electronics with associated supporting infrastructure, video surveillance systems with supporting infrastructure, and room acoustics design services for the National Institutes of Health, Building 10 EWing Enabling Project, Bethesda, Maryland.

The acoustics design covered sound isolation, interior room acoustics and HVAC system noise and vibration control. CTDGNY recommended application of AV technology was installed in conference rooms, as well as meeting and collaborative rooms. The system is able to support various methods of teaching and interaction. The Electronic Access Control System was designed to promote a safe, secure environment for the laboratories, clinical spaces and other sensitive areas. The Video Surveillance system provides both real-time monitoring and automated recording based on video analytics. The project was completed in 2022.
