Project Profile: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital
Project Description
With a $923 million grant from FEMA, Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital (FKA Coney Island Hospital) is slated to construct a new, resilient building, as well as a planned 1,720-foot flood wall, to house life saving services for over 900,000 South Brooklyn residents.The 350,000 square-foot tower will include a new elevated Emergency Department, a surgical suite with eight operating rooms, a full suite of diagnostic and imaging services, including CT scanner, MRI, and interventional radiology, a labor and delivery suite, 64 behavioral health beds, and a clinical laboratory equipped with the latest technology.
When it’s completed, the new building will be the largest investment and expansion of the hospital in more than a decade. The hospital opened its doors in 2024. CTDG was asked to provide design for all Low Voltage Systems.
