Convergent Technologies served as the AV Consultant to SmithGroup in the design of the new Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF) at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Colorado. The Laboratory is currently the most energy efficient data center in the country. ESIF provides exceptional design and testing facilities for 200 researchers. The spaces that received AV design include: a 3D collaboration lab, control room, multiple visualization labs, and conference rooms. The facility is able to route quality audio, video, and other data into the conference and control rooms. Visualization labs feature large, high-definition screens that observe live experiments in the electricity, thermal, and fuel labs.

UPDATE: This project has been awarded 2014 R&D Magazine’s Lab of the Year!
