We’re proud to share that the Ashburn Recreation & Community Center has received an Award of Merit from AIA DC, recognizing the outstanding work of the entire project team. The 2026 Architectural Showcase also recognized the project for its innovative design, accessibility, and community-focused amenities.

Convergent Technologies Design Group was honored to work alongside Stantec and the broader design team on this remarkable facility. The approximately 123,800-square-foot community destination brings together aquatics, fitness, recreation, wellness, early childhood programming, and multipurpose community spaces designed to serve residents of all ages.

CTDG provided comprehensive low-voltage design services, including audiovisual systems, structured telecommunications cabling, and access control/video surveillance systems. From schematic design through construction administration, our team developed technology infrastructure solutions that support facility operations, connectivity, safety, and user experience throughout the gymnasiums, pools, fitness areas, classrooms, and community spaces.

This recognition reflects the collaboration, innovation, and dedication of an exceptional team.
